Spinney Reservoir, up in Park County in the mountains, is Aurora's largest source of water. Since conditions have been unusually dry and warm this winter, throughout the state, it currently sits at 40% capacity and is 16 feet below normal levels.
Aurora Water's Dawn Jewell explains what that means, especially looking ahead, as well as the simple steps residents can take to help conserve water.
Aurora Water provides updated information on water levels, maps, fact sheets and the water management plan at AuroraGov.org/WaterShortage.
