Aurora Water Drought Community Meeting, April 14, 2026

Aurora Water started water restrictions on April 7, 2026.

The stage 1 drought limits the number of days and time of day people can water their lawn, along with other restrictions.

Aurora City Council declared a Stage I Drought effective April 7.

To help protect our water supply, outdoor watering is limited to two days per week, with no watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Spinney Reservoir, up in Park County in the mountains, is Aurora's largest source of water.

Aurora lawmakers are asking restaurants in the city to only pour water for customers if they request it — a resolution that passed unanimously on November 17th.
