The Aurora Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department recently launched the “She Plays Aurora” campaign to encourage more girls to participate in youth sports.

Aurora Sparks is a new, youth-driven, licensed after-school program provided by the city's Parks and Rec Department that puts creativity and choice at the center of all activities.
Two new eSports hubs are now open at Southeast and the Central recreation centers. That means in addition to the lounge at Expo Community Center, which opened in 2021, there are now three total locations to play.
Tylen Haller is the Cherry Creek School District Athlete of the Month for December. He earned First-Team All-Conference honors, was named Honorable Mention All-State, and received Academic All-State recognition.
