The city of Aurora’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space department was nominated by the community in six categories for this year’s Best of Mile High, an annual awards program that highlights the best events and places in the Denver Metro area.

You can place your vote in the following categories:

• 4th of July Spectacular for best seasonal event
• Aurora Reservoir Scuba best for best recreation spot
• Murphy Creek for best golf course
• Aurora Sports Park for best sports facilities
• Sand Creek Park for best biking trail
• Jewell Wetlands, Sand Creek Park and Star K Ranch for best hiking trail
