2026 Youth Water Festival Teaches Future Generations the Importance of Water
Start Time (in seconds)
End Time (in seconds)

The next generation of future water leaders recently took part in a visual, interactive experience to make learning about H2O fun. More than 1,000 fifth graders from Aurora Public Schools and the Cherry Creek School District attended Aurora’s 2026 Youth Water Festival at the Community College of Aurora.

This year marked the 33rd anniversary of one of the largest and oldest educational water events in Colorado. Through hands-on, dynamic activities, students learned about where our water comes from, how it’s moved 150 miles from the mountains to the city, and the importance of caring for this precious and limited resource.  Presenters included water experts such as engineers, water lawyers, hydrologists, farmers and many others.

The annual event is organized by Aurora Water.
