Since 1984, the Prescription Pet Program has brought joy to thousands of patients and families at Children's Hospital Colorado. The program allows trained volunteers and their dogs to visit hospital rooms and common areas. A growing body of research supports the role animals may have in the healing process, proving that canines can help cure.
