Every school day, thousands of students line up for lunch across the Cherry Creek School District.

But before those meals reach the cafeteria, much of the food starts at CCSD’s new Central Food and Print Hub in Centennial.

The 123,000-square-foot facility is more than four times the size of the district’s previous warehouse and allows CCSD to buy food in bulk, source local ingredients and expand its in-house bakery.

The bakery uses locally sourced flour and makes fresh baked goods without eggs or dairy, giving students with allergies more options.

The facility serves CCSD’s 66 schools, and its massive freezer can hold more than 13 million hamburger patties.

The building also brings the district’s warehouse, Print Shop and Procurement teams under one roof. The Print Shop more than doubled in size and produces the district’s math curriculum and other materials in-house.
