Giving back. It's something we're encouraged to do, and for some people, it's a way of life. Each year, the city of Aurora presents the Community Spirit Awards.
They recognize volunteers and organizations who go above and beyond to make our city better.
In 2025, we honored 27 volunteers, six nonprofits and four businesses.
AuroraTV has highlighted some of them in the past, and on this special edition of Aurora Now, we wanted to share those stories with you, again. We hope it inspires everyone to give of themselves to make our community, and our world, a better place.
The city of Aurora will host our annual Volunteer Expo on Saturday, May 2 and on Tuesday, May 5, in the lobby of the Aurora Municipal Center. Meet with representatives from the city and local nonprofits, and find out how you can give back.
Nominations for this year's Community Spirit Awards are also currently being accepted. The deadline is June 30.
