Southlands shopping center is marking a major milestone - their 20th anniversary!

When it opened back in 2006, it was surrounded by a lot of open prairie land.  As the area around it rapidly transformed and grew, so did Southlands. It's home to all kinds of local and national retail, restaurants and even entertainment.

It's also become a place for the community to gather, and that's what the center's owners and manager cherish the most.

AuroraTV takes a look back and shares the anniversary celebration.  It included the reveal of a very special mural designed and created by students at DAVA (Downtown Aurora Visual Arts).
