Customary Glass of Water With Your Restaurant Greeting is Changing in Aurora
Start Time (in seconds)
End Time (in seconds)

Aurora lawmakers are asking restaurants in the city to only pour water for customers if they request it — a resolution that passed unanimously on November 17th.

The belief is that it’ll prevent wasted water, since many people choose to drink something else, often leaving the water untouched.

The resolution is not a requirement at this time.  In the event that Aurora enters a drought, triggering watering restrictions, it does become a mandate for restaurants.

Aurora Water’s Shonnie Cline says the objective in all this is pretty straightforward: “Ultimately, our goal is to be able to have anybody that is using water in Aurora realize they have a role to play in Aurora’s water future.”
