Join the Aurora Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board and help shape the future of East Colfax.

Last November, voters overwhelmingly approved the creation of the DDA. Before the authority can move forward with revitalizing the area, a board must be created.

The deadline to apply is February 28th.

There are also community meetings coming up to give you an opportunity to find out more about the DDA board application and the appointment process.

• Friday, Feb. 13, noon to 1 p.m., The People's Building, 9995 E. Colfax Ave.

DDA board members will direct the DDA’s work on the six community priorities areas outlined in the Vision and Action Plan:

• Public Safety and Security
• Business Support and Access to Goods and Services
• Housing and Neighborhood Stability
• Cleaning and Maintenance
• Advancing Arts, Culture, and a Creative Economy
• Public Space Improvements
