It's a project that's been 10 years in the making, in the name of safety. A new pedestrian bridge will soon start going up over busy Parker Road near I-225. It'll connect RTD's Nine Mile Station with homes and businesses in the area. While other, smaller work on the $9.3 million dollar project is underway, the actual bridge is being built in Loveland. It'll be installed in early summer. It's expected to open in the fall. Drivers can check COTrip.org for real-time lane closure updates and road conditions for the project.
