The East Colfax BRT project is coming to Aurora! BRT stands for Bus Rapid Transit and will make bus travel through the Colfax corridor in Aurora and Denver faster, more reliable and safer. 

Mayor Coffman joined Sen. Michael Bennet, representatives from RTD and several other organizations to celebrate our city's groundbreaking for the project. 

Unlike the Denver portion where the buses will run in dedicated center lanes, the buses in Aurora will be side running or travel with traffic. 

Mayor Coffman says the East Colfax BRT will help with ongoing efforts to redevelop and revitalize the East Colfax corridor in Aurora.
