Alice Lee Main Tribute
Start Time (in seconds)
End Time (in seconds)

Alice Lee Main is an Aurora living legend. She worked for the city's Cultural Services Division for more than 40 years, before retiring. During that time, she created, supported and fought for a number of arts and cultural institutions in our city that we continue to cherish today. They include leading the effort to save and revatalize the Aurora Fox Theater and turning into an award-winning Arts Center.  She's also largely responsible for creating the Aurora History Museum, the Aurora Singers, the Aurora Dance Arts program, the Aurora Symphony Orchestra, our city's Arts in Public Places program and much more. Her family and friends hosted a tribute to honor her at the Aurora Fox ahead of, "Alice Lee Main Day," on March 8, 2022. The Aurora Fox Arts Center opened on March 8, 1985.
