What does the date of July 27th mean to you? Not only is it the day in 1953 that the Korean War ended, but here in Aurora, in 2026, it's the day we dedicated our city's new Korean War Memorial. 

It's a Memorial Day weekend tradition in Aurora - Colorado Remembers.  This year's event, as always, took place at the Colorado Freedom Memorial.

Altitude Elementary School in the Cherry Creek School District recently hosted its annual Patriotic Veterans Parade.

It featured all kinds of festive floats, a marching band and more.

The Purple Heart medal is awarded to military members who are killed or wounded in action.

Colorado lawmakers passed a joint resolution in 2017 declaring the fourth Thursday of March as Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day.

Aurora is now home to the Lt. Col. John W. Mosley VA Clinic. It's named in honor of Tuskegee Airman and Aurora community leader, John Mosley.

Aurora Fire Rescue Lieutenant Jason Kester and his K9 Frank are member of Colorado Task Force One.

Each year on the third Friday in September, our country commemorates POW MIA Recognition Day. Ceremonies take place at military installations across the U.S., including here in Aurora at Buckley Space Force Base.
