Senator Rhonda Fields honored Aurora Fire Rescue Lieutenant Kathleen Hancock at the State Capitol. 

Hancock is the first black woman to join AFR 11 years ago and is the highest ranking black woman in the department. 

Senator Fields said she wanted to honor this accomplishment and share her inspiring story.
