A petition to amend Aurora's city charter, which would change our current form of government among other things, has gotten initial approval from the City Clerk to be on the November ballot. Registered Aurora voters can file a protest and have until 5:00pm August 14th to do so. Also on this week's show, we're going "Back to Our Roots." The city's Parks and Rec Department has teamed up with Aurora Water to convert thirsty turf in some of our parks and medians to native and Bermuda grasses. The move will save millions of gallons of water as well as money. We'll take a look back at the "Reflection Garden on Tap" event benefitting the 7/20 Foundation, and we'll preview "Aurora Pride" at the Aurora Reservoir. Those stories and many more this week on Aurora Now.
