Aurora City Council approved $577,500 on June 28, 2023, for youth violence prevention and intervention services and activities. A grant of $20,000 was awarded to A1 Boxing for its program, "Put the guns down, pick the gloves up." A1 Boxing Owner Glenn Goodson is using the funds to sponsor at-risk youth, motivating them to get off of the streets and into the ring.🥊
