AuroraTV recognizes Aurora West College Preparatory Academy's Maria Benitez from Aurora Public Schools, and Cherokee Trail High School's Brayden Forte from the Cherry Creek School District as athletes of the month.

Benitez is a two-sport athlete who participates in flag football and volleyball.  She leads her team in several categories in flag football and makes an impact throughout the school.

Forte shot a 60 at Murphy Creek this fall, helped Cherokee Trail to their first state championship in golf, and has a 4.1 GPA.  He will continue his golf career at San Diego State after graduation.
