Aurora's South Middle School has permanently shut down after more than six decades.  The school was built in 1961 and served multiple generations of kids, with the final students walking the halls this week.  The school held a farewell ceremony ahead of the closing, bringing together current and former Lobos to say goodbye.  The new Del Mar Academy P-8 will be opening nearby for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.
