The city of Aurora's Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department wants girls to get into the game. A recent study shows that even though girls make up almost half of our country's population, their overall participation in youth sports programs is only about 35%. A new program called She Plays Aurora hopes to change that. We'll show you how. Also on this week's show, historic Aurora fire engine Big John now has local landmark status; see how Black cowboys in Aurora made their mark in our community and beyond; and our ongoing Into the Map series takes an up-close look at another local restaurant featured in the "Aurora Eats" guide. Get ready to head south of the border but with a twist. Those stories and many more this week on Aurora Now.
