He's dedicated decades of his life to keeping our community safe and making it better, especially when it comes to our kids. AuroraTV introduces you to an Aurora Police Sergeant who’s been on the force for forty years. His is one of several stories we’re sharing this February in honor of Black History Month. It’s been almost exactly one year since the city broke ground on our newest rec center in southeast Aurora. We’ll take you on a tour and share some fun surprises. Plus, a look at just how big of a financial boost the CU Anschutz Medical Campus is to Aurora and the state;  a touching tribute to the woman who’s largely responsible for Aurora’s amazing arts and cultural programs; and why our furry friends at the Aurora Animal Shelter want your empty cereal boxes and milk jugs. Those stories, and many more, this week on Aurora Now.
