The City Manager has appointed an interim police chief, and you probably recognize the name if you’re a long-time resident. Dan Oates, who served as chief from 2005 to 2014, and led Aurora through the aftermath of the theater shooting, is returning. Plus, an up-close look at APD’s second language program and how it’s connecting our community; a trip to the treetops to see our Aurora arborists in action; and AuroraTV debuts a new show featuring a familiar face. It’s your chance to meet the people and places moving our dynamic city forward. Those stories, and many more, this week on Aurora Now.
