"Family comes first." Those words from Aurora interim Police Chief Art Acevedo as he announces he's leaving to join his family in Houston. Both the mayor and city manager praise Acevedo for his accomplishments while leading the Aurora Police Department over the past year. Interim Deputy Chief, Heather Morris, will be appointed the interim chief Jan. 22. Also on this week's show,  Aurora's 38th commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. continues with both traditional and new events; a popular and unique national cookie chain opens an Aurora location; and the AuroraTV team partners with Children's Hospital Colorado and Generation Wild to "Say Hi with a Snowman." Those stories and many more this week on Aurora Now.
