Sprouts Farmers Market is making sure the concept of farm-to-table benefits everyone, especially here in Aurora. The company opened a new distribution center in our city in March, and it's helping local farmers get their produce to customers as fresh and as fast as possible. The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation has also teamed up with Denver Urban Gardens and Project Worthmore at Aurora's DeLaney Farm. Project Worthmore teaches farming to refugees and immigrants. Through the support of the Foundation, DeLaney has produced more than 65,000 pounds of fresh produce since 2019 to support underserved Aurora communities and helped train 10 full-time immigrant and refugee farmers.
