Times are tough for many in our community, but a new behavioral health resource is opening in Aurora to provide help and hope.
Potomac Pavilion is a state-of-the-art behavioral health center designed to offer immediate mental health and substance use support. The facility is part of Aurora Mental Health & Recovery and will open to the public in phases.
The Connect to Care Program, located at the west entrance, will serve non-emergency mental health needs on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning January 26. A 24/7 crisis walk-in clinic, a 16-bed stabilization unit, and a 40-bed drug withdrawal management area will open through the north entrance on January 31.
Located at 1290 South Potomac Street, Potomac Pavilion will serve families in Aurora and across the region. The $44 million facility was built through a partnership between local, state and federal agencies to expand timely, compassionate behavioral health care and reduce reliance on emergency rooms.
