The Food Bank of the Rockies recently opened a new 270,000 square foot facility in Aurora near Tower Road and East 38th Avenue.
This new facility was needed to help take care of the Colorado and Wyoming region after the non-profit outgrew their old space over the last 19 years.
The food bank has increased their food storage space by 67%, doubled their cold storage and now operates under one roof.
Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman says he's excited to have the Food Bank of the Rockies distribution center in Aurora, and is looking forward to the partnerships it can create with the city.
