Relocating to Aurora after losing property to eminent domain and selling part ownership to Kodiak Equity to weather the most recent recession, Barton Supply is thriving with the family leadership—the Barton cousins— still in place. Its headquarters boasts 120,000 square feet on 17 acres, and 206 employees work among its Aurora, Colorado Springs and Longmont locations. The company posts architectural renderings in work areas so employeescan see the projects benefitted by their work. Andemployees give back to the community through activities like an in-house “Adopt a Family” program to help more than 200 people, donating food to veterans clubs, providing fabrication for Hope House, volunteering for Habitat forHumanity and participating in Builders for Babies.
