There'll soon be a lot more trees in Aurora. That's because the city was just awarded a $5 million grant from the US Forest Service. The goal is to improve public health and the environment in our underserved communities, especially those made up of immigrants and refugees. Aurora's Parks and Rec Department is teaming up with our Office of International and Immigrant Affairs for the project. Also on this week's show, a special tribute for two fallen Aurora firefighters who lost their battles with cancer; Heather Gardens marks a major milestone; Aurora's Snow Plow Road-eo returns; and the Aurora Dance Hearts perform in-studio to help us preview Aurora Mini-Con 2023. Those stories and many more this week on Aurora Now.
