Juneteenth is considered by many to be America's second independence day. It's a celebration of June 19, 1865, when slaves in Texas learned they were free, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. On this special edition of Aurora Now, we honor some of Aurora's prominent African Americans whose stories we've shared this past year. We also have an amazing in-studio performance by Jude Keyz, as he's now known. We introduced you to this young piano prodigy in January, and you won't believe what he's been up to since then. Be sure to stay tuned for a brand new episode of Aurora Now, beginning June 26.
