The City of Aurora, through the Office of Experience and Engagement, and in partnership with community organizations, is proudly hosting the 40th annual, week-long commemoration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Jan. 9 - 19, 2026.

This milestone event is bringing all of us together to honor the life, leadership and lasting impact of Dr. King under the powerful theme, “I Am the Dream.”

The opening ceremony took place Jan. 12 at the Aurora Municipal Center.

Additional events are happening at various locations in Aurora over the next week.
